Woman charged in crash that killed Kan. teen is due back in court

SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas woman charged with driving under the influence in a crash that killed a woman in 2024 is scheduled for another court appearance Friday.

Trisha Greer, 43, is scheduled an arraignment hearing Friday afternoon before Judge Sean Hatfield, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

Just after 11p.m. May 14, Greer was driving without headlights at 55th Street South and Hoover, according to Sheriff's Lt Nathan Gibbs. The vehicle struck and killed 18-year-old Bethany Aillen Callista Leggio who was standing with a group of people at the location.

Greet was booked into jail just after 1a.m. the following morning, according to online jail records. She is free on bond.
