KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating a gunfight in Kansas City that left one man dead and another hospitalized.
Just before 11.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to shooting at a house in 9600 block of Ditman Way, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
First responders located two shooting victims in front of the home. EMS transported both men to the hospital with gunshot injuries. One of the victims was being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The other victim was declared deceased by hospital staff, according to Becchina.
Preliminary information according to people that were at the scene when police arrived indicates that prior to the shooting the deceased victim arrived at the residence and an argument erupted which escalated and led to gunfire between both shooting victims, and both victims were struck. The victims are known to one another and detectives are not looking for any additional suspects.
