PLATTE COUNTY—The unidentified body found Monday in a wooded area near NE 194th Terrace in rural Missouri has been identified as 25-year-old Josiah Papa of Leavenworth, according to a statement from Smithville Police.
On July 22, police responded to a report of the body of a white male in a densely vegetated area, according to police.
During the initial investigation, a search warrant was obtained for a nearby residence. The search warrant was executed with assistance of the Clay County Sheriff and Kansas City Police. Papa was reported missing on July 12. Anyone with information on the disappearance of Papa is urged to contact police.
