MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Rock Creek Mustangs won the Kansas Class 3A State Championship Friday night, dominating Garnett-Anderson County 19-0.
An incredible offensive performance, which included a 14 run fourth inning, pushed the Mustangs to its second state title under Head Coach Shane Sieben. Daegen Vinduska continued his solid pitching for Rock Creek, shutting down the Bulldogs and holding them to just two hits.
Rock Creek's 12 hits in the game were its most in the 3A state title run.
Previously the Mustangs defeated the Bishop Ward Cyclones and Minneapolis Lions to reach the pinnacle of Kansas High School Baseball.
