Silver Alert canceled; missing NW Kansas man found and is safe

ELLIS COUNTY —Roger Batman has been found and is safe, according to Ellis County Sheriff Scott Braun.

ELLIS COUNTY – The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office requested the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Ellis County man.

The whereabouts of 81-year-old Roger Batman are unknown and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate him.

Batman is likely driving a silver 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck bearing Kansas tag 9625ACG. He was last seen leaving his house in Hays on Monday at 5:00 p.m. He indicated to his wife that he intended to travel to Wichita, Kansas, though his direction and destination are unknown.

Batman is a white male who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans. Batman has diminished cognitive abilities and high blood pressure.
