Rural Kansas home fully engulfed in fire

KINGMAN COUNTY —Fire crews from three counties responded to a rural house fire early Saturday.

Just after 5:30a.m. Saturday, crews were dispatched to a house fire on NE 4th Avenue, according to a media release.  While units were responding, a sheriff's deputy arrived and confirmed there was a fire and based the information, Kingman Fire requested mutual aid from Reno County Fire District 1 and the Cheney Fire Department.

When fire crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The homeowner was located and was not at home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries reported.  The Kansas Fire Marshal's office was requested to investigate.  Authorities released no additional details.
