
OSAGE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on numerous charges after a high speed chase.
Just before 7 a.m., July 18, Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received notification that a Ford F250 pickup truck, towing a trailer with a Bobcat skid steer, had been stolen from the area of SW 125th Street and SW Jordan Road in Osage County, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
Shawnee County deputies responded to assist the Kansas Highway Patrol and Osage County Sheriff’s Office once a pursuit was initiated.
In approximately the 4500 block of SW Auburn Road, the pursuit was terminated due to the high risk driving of the suspect.
Shawnee County deputies then initiated a pursuit as the suspect drove eastbound on SW 37th Street. The pursuit ended in the 8000 block of SW 37th Street when the suspect drove off the roadway to the north.
The driver, Connor J. C. Mundy, 25, Burlingame, was taken into custody without incident or injury by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office for multiple warrants and is facing numerous other charges. The stolen truck, trailer and skid steer were returned to the owner.
