SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal 2019 motorcycle accident have made an arrest.

On Wednesday, police booked 31-year-old Travis Bryson on requested charges of that include involuntary manslaughter while under the influence and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, according to the Sedgwick County booking report.

In July of 2019 the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Bryson of Wichita was southbound on Interstate 135 near Kansas 15. The driver lost control of the motorcycle,  hit the barrier wall and a passenger identified as Christopher Monk, 45, Wichita, was ejected.

Monk was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the KHP. EMS transported Bryson to an area hospital for treatment.  Bryson was no longer in custody Thursday afternoon, according to online jail records.
