WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Sheriff's deputies in Texas arrested Kansas City Chiefs standout wide receiver Xavier Worthy on Friday.
The 21-year-old was booked into the Williamson County Jail on requested charges of assaulting a family/house member by impeding their breathing or circulation, according to online jail records.
The charge is a third-degree felony in Texas, with a possible punishment of two to 10 years in prison.

Williamson County is just north of Austin where Worthy played college football at the University of Texas. Police have released no additional details on the arrest.
The Chiefs selected Worthy with their first pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He scored two touchdowns in the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to Philadelphia. Check the Post for additional details as they become available.
