After a successful 12-7 campaign, the Rock Creek girl's basketball team will begin their playoff push on Wednesday as they look to defend their home court against Pratt.
The Lady Mustangs come into this sub-state semifinal as the 7-seed at 13-7 while the Lady Greenbacks enter as the 10-seed at 10-10.
After a 12-3 start, Rock Creek ended their regular season on a four-game skid, and while many would see that as a major concern, the Lady Mustangs have used that to stoke their playoff fire.
"I believe our lack of success to finish the year will benefit us moving into the postseason," Rock Creek head coach Adam Plummer said. "Players seem more motivated than they have been the last 2-3 weeks. We have a fair amount of post-season experience on this team, which should pay off."
The victor of this 7-10 matchup will await the winner of the 2-15 game between McPherson (18-2) and El-Dorado (3-17) in the sub-state finals on Saturday.
Tip-off between the Lady Mustangs and Greenbacks is scheduled for 6:00 at Rock Creek High School
