MANHATTAN, Kan. - Monday marks day one on the Kansas State High School Activities Association calendar, with fall sports practices beginning across the state. For Manhattan High School, seven sports will begin their 2021 campaigns this week, with six starting Monday afternoon.
Cheerleading will be the lone sport not beginning on Monday and will hold its first practice from 4-7p.m. at the Manhattan High School East Gym on Thursday.
Cross Country got an early start to their practice, holding it from 6:45-8a.m.
Volleyball will begin Monday with 9th grade from 4-6p.m., and 10th-12th grade from 6-8p.m. at Manhattan High's West Campus South Gym.
Boys Soccer will start their season at Bishop Stadium, holding practice from 4:15-6:15p.m.
Girls Tennis practice will be located at the City Park tennis courts from 4:15-6p.m.
Stagg Hill Golf Course will host Girls Golf practices, beginning Monday at 4p.m., and Tuesday from 1:30-4:30p.m.
Football began its season with its first practice in walkthrough fashion at 7a.m., but will hold a second practice on Monday from 4-7p.m at Manhattan High School's West Campus.
