Pottawatomie County reports two new positive COVID-19 cases

Health officials in Pottawatomie County said Monday there are two new positive COVID-19 cases, and seven total active cases. A total of 100 people have recovered while 16 are pending. No one is hospitalized in Pottawatomie County.

As a reminder, the COVID-19 virus affects different people in different ways.  One person with COVID-19, may show vastly different symptoms from someone else with the virus.  Symptoms may appear 2 – 14 days after exposure to the virus.  The symptoms of COVID-19 include;

·         Fever or chills

·         Cough

·         Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

·         Fatigue

·         Muscle or body aches

·         Headache

·         New loss of taste or smell

·         Sore throat

·         Congestion or runny nose

·         Nausea or vomiting

·         Diarrhea

Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19. If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:

·         Trouble breathing

·         Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

·         New confusion

·         Inability to wake or stay awake

·         Bluish lips or face
