JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two suspects including a Kansas felon on drug allegations.
Just after 8:30a.m. August 25, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in rural Jackson on a Mazda pickup truck for a traffic infraction, according to Sheriff Tim Morse. The vehicle occupants were identified as Timothy Charles Krogman, 66, and William Joseph Stewart, 70, both of Sabetha.
During the traffic stop a probable cause search was conducted for illegal drugs or narcotics.
Krogman was arrested on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking contraband into correctional facility, and interference with law enforcement; conceal/alter/destroy evidence in felony case. He has three previous drug convictions, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Stewart was arrested on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
