Commencement for the Class of 2020 at Wamego High School is planned at 10 a.m. this Saturday ( June 27 ) at the Wamego Sports Complex ( football field ). It will be open to the public.
According to a statement by the school principal, Kale Katt, Pottawatomie County Commissioners recently lifted all restrictions on the number of people at public gatherings so there will be a traditional commencement ceremony on Saturday. However spectators and participants are encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
It will probably be warm so those attending will need to bring their own water since the drinking fountains will be unavailable.
