
KANSAS CITY — The suspect charged in the fatal shooting at a Kansas City area Price Chopper, 27-year-old Allen T. Prince, is out of the hospital and has been booked into the Cass County Jail, according to a media release from Pleasant Hill police. Prince remains in custody without bond.

The 16-year-old juvenile who sustained injuries during the incident has also been released from an area hospital and continues to recover at home.
The shooting occurred just before 4:30p.m. May 25, at the Price Chopper, 2101 N. State Route 7 Highway in Pleasant Hill, Missour, according to a media release fro the Pleasant Hill Police Department.
The Cass County Prosecutor’s Office has formally charged 27-year-old Allen Prince of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, in connection with the incident. Warrants have been issued for the following charges of First Degree Murder, Three counts of Armed Criminal Action and Two counts of First Degree Assault.
Police identifed the woman who died as 45-year-old Amy Coon of Strasburg, Missouri. Amy was a Pleasant Hill native and a 1999 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to many throughout the community.
A 16-year-old Pleasant Hill boy also sustained injuries during the incident.
Investigators have determined that two individuals in the parking lot who were legally armed confronted Prince during the incident, at which time the suspect turned the firearm on himself.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Cass County Sheriff's Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
