Born in Orlando, Florida, Nick made his home in McPherson, Kansas, where he shared his life with his beloved wife, Ashley Schafer, and their three beautiful children, Bentley, Adeline, and Faith Schafer.
Nick was a proud Navy veteran who served his country with honor. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found happiness in the beauty of nature and the time he spent outside with his children. He also had a strong devotion to God, and his faith was an important part of his life. Above all, one of his greatest joys in life was being a father. He loved watching his children play the sports they enjoyed and took pride in being there to cheer them on. Seeing his children pursue the things they loved brought him happiness and created memories that will be cherished for years to come. Through his love for his family and his devotion to God, Nick leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and treasured memories.
Nick will be deeply missed by his wife, Ashley; his children, Bentley, Adeline, and Faith; his parents, Dave and Sheryl Schafer of McPherson, Kansas; his brother, Dustin Schafer of McPherson, Kansas; and his sister, Haley Schafer of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He will also be remembered by extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Howard Schafer; his sister, Tasha Schafer and brother-in-law, Arthur House.
Though Nick's time on earth was far too short, the love he shared with his family and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His love for the outdoors, his devotion to his children, and the moments spent together will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
