STAFFORD COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 6p.m. Tuesday in Stafford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Dodge Magnum driven by Seth R. Osborn, 28, Wichita was eastbound on Kansas 19 and failed to yield at a stop sign at U.S. 281 one mile east of Seward.
A northbound 2012 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Andrea M. McKiearnan, 28, Louisburg, struck the Dodge.
A passenger in the van Judy M. McKiearnan, 73, St. John, was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Minnis Chapel in St John.
EMS tranported Osborn, McKiearnan, Morgan G McKiearnan, 7; Carter O. McKiearnan, 4; Brook J. McKiearnan, 13, and Timothy O. McKiearnan, 28, all of St. John to the hospital in Great Bend. All seven were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
