COWLEY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 7:30a.m. Friday in Cowley County.
The Cowley County Sheriff reported a 2008 Volvo XC70 driven by Candice Bergeson, 43, Winfield was involved in a rollover accident in the 2000 block of US 160 Highway. The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Witnesses who observed the accident immediately stopped and rendered aid until emergency personnel arrived.
EMS transported Candice Bergeson to William Newton Memorial Hospital for treatment and she was pronounced deceased.
