SHAWNEE COUNTY—Police investigating a Kansas bank robbery have a suspect in custody.
Just before 10:30 a.m., June 23, police responded to a reported robbery at US Bank, 719 S Kansas Avenue in Topeka, according to a media release. It was reported that a man entered the bank, indicated he had a weapon, demanded money and then fled on foot. On Saturday, police reported the FBI arrested the suspect in Texas, according to Topeka Police.
The suspect was described as having light-colored facial hair, wearing a multi-color ball cap backwards, a red football jersey with the number “7” on it, red athletic shorts and brown boots. Police have not released his name or additional details.
