Two fishing tournaments are scheduled at Milford Lake this weekend. On Saturday Geary County CVB will sponsor a King Kat qualifier and a Crappie USA Tournament will be held on Sunday. Acorns Resort is the host site for both tournaments.
The Saturday tournament is a Cabela's King Kat national qualifier that begins at 6:30 a.m. and the stopping time will be 3 p.m. followed by weigh-in at 4 p.m.
The tournament on Sunday includes a $10,000 total cash payout. Anglers in the Crappie USA tournament can compete in the $50,000 points race and an opportunity to qualify for the regional championships and the 2021 Crappie USA Classic. Fishing hours are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
