KANSAS CITY —A driver injured in an accident earlier this summer died as a result of their injuries.
Just before 6:30p.m. July 1, Kansas City Metro Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision in the area of 7702 Troost Avenue, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
A maroon Pontiac was northbound on Troost Avenue when the driver and sole occupant lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a building. The driver was transported to an area hospital.
On Friday investigators were notified the victim died on fifteen days after the crash, according to Gonzalez
This is fatality # 67 in Kansas City, Missouri for 2024, according to KCPD. Police have not released the name of the victim.
