Manhattan woman hospitalized after struck by a car

RILEY COUNTY —A Manhattan woman was injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Sunday in Manhattan.

According to the Riley County Police Department activity report a 2006 Hyundai Sonota driven by Talitha Perverill, 19, Manhattan, struck a pedestrian identified as Marian Brandenburg, 68, Manhattan, near the intersection of Kimball Avenue and College Avenue in Manhattan

EMS transported Brandenburg to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Peverill was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian, according to the activity report.
