WASHINGTON —First Lady Melania Trump used her social media account to recognize a group of Kansas high school students.

In her tweet, she wrote, "The STAND Coalition at Newton High School in Kansas is comprised of 70 students committed to #BeDrugFree.

Embracing a substance-free life isn’t just healthy, it is laying the foundation for a brighter future for all! Thank you for setting a wonderful example!

The school retweeted the First Lady's statement and wrote, "Awesome job STAND!"

Dozens of youths at schools in Harvey County participate in STAND to promote substance prevention education, participate in community service projects and positive alternative activities, according to USD 373.
