WYANDOTTE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Wyandotte County have identified the victim as 34-year-old Cory Allen Poland of Kansas City, Kansas.
The accident occurred just before 9:30p.m. Thursday in Wyandotte County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Audi A6 driven by Camille Breonne Carter, 20, Kansas City, Kansas, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of 18th Street.
The car struck Poland who was walking south across the highway. Poland was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Forensics Center. Carter and three passengers in the car were not injured.
