SALINE COUNTY —A Kansas teen was injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday on N. Brookville Road in Saline County.
According to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan, Cadence Halfhill, 17, of Ellsworth was traveling southbound in the 2800 block of N. Brookville Road when the tire of her 1997 Ford Explorer dropped off the edge of the roadway causing her to swerve.
"She tried to come back onto the road but overcorrected and ended up swerving back to the right again," Soldan said. "The SUV rolled down through a ditch out into the pasture, taking out a fence and a tree."

Salina EMS transported her to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of an injured arm and a broken leg, according to Soldan.
The SUV was in a place where the vehicle couldn't be seen from the road so she had to crawl up to be seen by someone on the road. The driver of a passing vehicle saw Halfhill and stopped to call 9-1-1, according to Soldan.
