Kansas woman accused of blackmail, identity theft

PAWNEE COUNTY– Rhonda Hudson-McNutt, 46 of Garfield, appeared in custody Thursday morning in the Pawnee County District Court before Magistrate Judge Kenton Gleason for Felony First Appearance, according to Pawnee Co. Attorney Dough McNett.

On July 29, Hudson-McNutt was arrested on probable cause following an ongoing investigation by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Department.

She is charged with Blackmail, Breach of Privacy, to wit: disseminating nude images, Identity Theft, (Interference with Law Enforcement, to wit: falsely reporting a felony crime,  Interference with Law Enforcement, to wit: falsely reporting information in a felony investigation, and  Criminal False Communication. She is also charged in a separate criminal complaint with misdemeanor Trespass.

Hudson-McNutt is being held in the custody of the Pawnee County Sheriff in lieu of $15,000 cash or surety bond. A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled for August 14, 2024.
