FRANKLIN COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in rural Franklin County.
Just before 9p.m. Friday, sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call in the 1800 Block of of John Brown Road in rural Princeton, Kansas, according to a media release.
First responders found a man later identified as 42-year-old Nathan Boggs of Ottawa with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite efforts by law enforcement and Franklin County EMS, Boggs died at the scene.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Ottawa Police are assisting the Franklin County Sheriff with the investigation.
