KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 7:30p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to 56th and Westridge in Kansas City on a reported shooting, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Upon arrival they were directed to a residence near the intersection. In the yard they located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Several witnesses were rendering aid to the victim as officers arrived.
Officers took over life saving measures and ordered EMS. The victim was transported from the scene with life threatening injuries. Several hours later the victim died at the hospital, according to DiMartion.
This is being investigated as a homicide and no one is in custody. Detectives and crime scene personnel are working to determine what led up to the incident.
