2 Kansas men dead after SUV, pickup collide

 WICHITA COUNTY — Two people died in an accident just before 5p.m. Tuesday in Wichita County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chevy Tahoe driven by Andrew Joseph Gomes, 23, Scott City, was eastbound on County Road H three miles east of Kansas 23.

The driver failed to stop at the stop sign and yield the right of way to a  2019 Dodge 3500 driven by Landon Lane Koehn, 43, Marienthal,  who was northbound on County Road 15.

 Both vehicles collided in the intersection. Gomes and Koehn were pronounced dead at St. Catherine's Hospital. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
