Kansas police officer on home incarceration after his arrest

SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas police officer is out of jail and on unsupervised custody, home incarceration after an arrest, according to online jail records.

Just after 3a.m. Sunday, 51-year-old Grayson Hoofer was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on requested charges of battery; knowing, recklessly causing bodily harm at a residence in the 5,000 Block of North Remington Street in Bel  Aire, according to the Sedgwick County booking report.

Wichita Police spokesman Andrew Ford confirmed the arrest of an officer. The police department released no additional details.

Hoofer was part of the police department's Domestic Intervention & Violence Reduction Team.
