MANHATTAN, Kan. – Just over two months removed from a victory over LSU in the TaxAct Texas Bowl to cap off an 8-5 campaign and with much anticipation for the 2022 season, Kansas State hits the field for its first of 15 spring practices on Tuesday morning.
The Wildcats will practice throughout the month of March and April, which will culminate with the final practice on Saturday, April 16.
K-State returns 47 letterwinners, which includes 16 starters and 10 players that earned All-Big 12 honors a season ago. In addition, the Wildcats also brought in five Division I transfers for spring practice that have combined for 150 total games played and 81 starts.
The Wildcats enter their fourth season under head coach Chris Klieman, who holds an 92-29 career, including a 20-16 mark at K-State. The offensive unit is led by Collin Klein, who is entering his eighth year overall on the K-State staff but is the sole offensive coordinator for the first time in his career. Joe Klanderman enters his third season as the defensive coordinator and fourth year in Manhattan.
