KANSAS CITY —One person injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Friday in Kansas City has died.
According to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina, a white Chevrolet Express van was making a left turn from eastbound St. John Street in Kansas City, Missouri onto northbound N. White.
An unrelated vehicle was also making a left turn from westbound St. John onto S. White. A white minibike was traveling westbound on St. John. The minibike traveled around the unrelated vehicle and struck the Chevrolet van as it was making the turn.
The minibike driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the vehicle. EMS transported the driver to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver was pronounced deceased on Saturday, according Becchina.
The driver of the Chevrolet Express Van was uninjured in the crash. This is fatality #32 in Kansas City, Missouri compared to #26 at this time last year, according to Becchina.
