CHAUTAUQA—One person has died from injured that occurred in an accident just before 4a.m. Sunday in Chautauqua County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Avery W. Stewart, 20, Sedan was northbound on U.S. 166 Business approximately one half mile north of U.S. 166. The car traveled off the road to the left and rolled. One passenger identified as Jacob N Darbro, 19, Sedan, was ejected and the car came to rest in the grass.
EMS transported Darbro to Ascension St John Medical Center Tulsa. He was pronounced deceased on Monday.
A second passenger identified as Holten L. Baker, 17, Sedan, fled following the accident. The KHP did not have details on his injuries. The KHP also did not report if Stewart was transported for treatment. He and Darbro were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
