Member of the Junction City Brigade practiced and then had an opportunity to meet the fans during a Meet and Greet event Wednesday evening at Rathert Field.
Brandon Bacher, Head Coach, comes to Junction City after a stint as a player and then volunteer assistant coach at Emporia State. The team currently has 26 players and more are expected to arrive soon. There have just been two practices but Bochar feels the team is beginning to grow as a group. He wants this team to play aggressively on offense. "Want to have tough at-bats at the plate, refuse to punch out, and then just put pressure on the defense."
The Brigade open their season at Baldwin City Thursday evening and they meet Baldwin City again in the home opener at Rathert Field Friday at 7 p.m.
