KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal carjacking in Kansas City.
Just after 1p.m. Wednesday, a suspect was attempting to steal a white Ford F350 in the 2900 Block of Paseo in Kansas City, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
The owner attempted to stop the suspect from stealing the truck. The suspect drove away while dragging the owner with the vehicle. The victim was dislodged from the vehicle. and thrown to the pavement. The suspect left the scene in the stolen Ford without stopping. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to DiMaratino.
This is fatality crash #51 compared to #46 at this time last year. Police released no additional details.
