SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Topeka.
Just after 12:14 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a call for service in the 2600 Block of SE Gilmore CT in Topeka on a call for service regarding a report of a person with a gunshot wound.
First responders located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All three individuals were transported to a local medical care facility, with one injury considered non-life threatening and two considered life-threatening.
While at the hospital, one of the victims was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
As a result, Topeka Police Department Officers and Detectives are reviewing all investigative leads and evidence as the case is ongoing.
