KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Wednesday in Kansas City.
Investigators determined a Ford F150 was making a left turn from northbound Blue Ridge Boulevard onto westbound 99th Street, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
A southbound Honda CBR motorcycle that was traveling at a very high rate of speed struck the pickup.
The operator of the Honda was ejected off the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and the four juvenile occupants of the Ford were uninjured in the collision.
This is fatality #70 compared to #65 at this time last year, according to DiMartino. The accident remains under investigation. Police have not released the name of the victim.
