BARTON COUNTY —Police are investigating an alleged school threat in Great Bend and have made an arrest.
Just before 11:30a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to Great Bend Middle School, 1919 Harrison, after a report of threats made to students and staff, according to a media release.
Great Bend Police Department School Resource Officers, Patrol Officers and Detectives responded to assess and investigate any possible threats made.
During the investigation, detectives learned a threat was communicated to several students. Police arrested a 14-year-old boy at the school.
