Sheriff: 3 women caught transporting drugs in Kansas

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating three woman on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.

Just after 11:30p.m. Tuesday P.M., a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car for a traffic violation east on 126th Road from U.S. 75 Highway, according to Sheriff Tim Morse

In the vehicle, the deputy discovered a hallucinogenic drug, a handgun and possession of a controlled substance.

The driver, Dakota Chanel Rooks, 23, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was arrested on requested charges of driving under the influence, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a hallucinogenic drug.

The front seat passenger Sophia Claire Hughes, 24, of Eudora, Kansas, was arrested on requested charges of possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of paraphernalia and probation violations.

The back seat passenger, Aliesha Marie Starks, 24, of Topeka was arrested on requested charges of possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of a controlled substance, open container and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility.
