RENO COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Friday in Reno County.

The Reno County Sheriff reported a three wheeled motorcycle was westbound on U.S. 50 highway at Salem Road. The motorcycle rear-ended a passenger van that was stopped, waiting for a westbound semi-truck preparing to turn south from US 50 Highway.&nbsp; The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The two occupants of the van were treated at the scene and released.

    During the investigation, US 50 Highway was reduced to one lane of traffic. The roadway has since been fully reopened.

This accident remains under investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
