OSAGE COUNTY—The Kansas Highway Patrol released new details on a fatal crash that occurred just after 6p.m. Friday in Osage County.
According to the Patrol, a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica driven by John C. Modde, 64, Carbondale, was turning north onto Topeka Avenue from a private drive two miles north of Carbondale. The minivan pulled out in front of a southbound 2012 Chevy Silverado driven by Darius L. Rose, 32, Lyndon. The pickup struck the drivers side of the minivan.
Modde was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported Rose to Stormont Vail. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
