KANSAS CITY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a Thursday morning fire that severely damaged a Kansas City-area church.
Just after 12:30 a.m., crews responded to Impact Church, 13129 U.S. 71 Highway in Grandview, according to a media release.
The church was already engulfed in flames and the roof was sagging when fire crews first arrived. There were no injuries reported.
The building the church has as called home for five years was destroyed in the fire, according to a social media report from the church. The NAM Church Plant was on its 5th year when this devastation occurred. "The store front on the South outer road of 71 Highway and everything church related in it is no more."
