Kansas teen faces federal drug trafficking charges

TOPEKA —A Kansas teen has been indicted and arrested on federal charges of  Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, according to the United State's Attorney.

Jeremiah M. Guesby, 18, of Topeka, is scheduled for his first court appearance on the charges Monday.

The crimes on both are punishable by a term of imprisonment not to exceed five years, a fine not to exceed $250,000.00 or both and a term of supervised release of at least two years, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
