KANSAS CITY – Law enforcement in Kansas Cityinvestigating another homicide have identified the victim as 46-year-old Freddie V. Jackson, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Just after midnight Thursday morning, police responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of E.31st street, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte.
First responders found Jackson in the parking lot of the gas station suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him deceased on scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that there was an argument in the parking lot that led to shots being fired and the Jackson being struck. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing any available surveillance footage.
