RENO COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 2p.m. Friday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Travis William Mayer, 35, Nickerson, was westbound on Kansas 14 four miles west of Nickerson.
The car crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2006 Kenworth semi driven by Jaret Taylor Frack, 42, Bel Aire.
Mayer was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center.
Frack was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
