Sheriff: 2 arrested in Kan. for alleged forgery, ID theft

SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple charges after a traffic stop.

Just after 5p.m. Thursday, a Shawnee County deputy stopped a vehicle in the 4300 block of NW Button Road for a registration violation, according to Deputy Shayna Anderson.

Through investigation at the scene, the driver and passenger  identified as Nicole M. Langdon, 32, and Jessie L. Forgy, 36, both of Topeka were placed into custody and transported to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning.

They were later booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Identity theft, Forgery, Possession of stolen property, Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Making false information, No vehicle registration and No vehicle insurance.  Forgy was also not wearing a seat belt.
