SWAT team helps arrest alleged Kan. drug dealer

SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on drug distribution allegations. 

Just after 8:30 a.m. Friday, the Wichita Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team executed a search warrant at a room at the Afton Motel, 855 South Broadway, regarding an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to officer Charley Davidson.

Police located 32-year-old Sterling Flemming inside and arrested him  without further incident.  During the investigation, officers recovered crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, ammunition, and cash.

He is being held on requested charges that include possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.
