
MONTGOMERY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary and have two suspects in custody.
Just after 8a.m. April 25, deputies responded to 5518 County Road 5800 near Cherryvale for report of a burglary.
The owner reported his shed was broken into and security camera video also showed the suspects enter the victim's home while he was asleep, according to Sheriff Ron Wade.

Deputies identified the suspects as Christopher Whittley and Melinda Mattlock. With the help of police and the Kansas Highway Patrol, deputies located the suspect's vehicle and made an arrest during a traffic stop.
Whittley is being held on requested charges of theft, criminal damage to property and aggravated burglary. Mattlock is being held for aggravated burglary, according to Wilson.
