Police search for 3 suspects after fatal shooting at Kan. home

SEDGWICK COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took the life of 30-year-old Blake Mayes of Wichita.

Police are asking the public for help locating  36-year-old Bobbie Williams-Cox of Topeka, KS, 51-year-old William Moore of Wichita, and 28-year-old Jesse Sweeney of Wichita, in connection with the fatal shooting.

Just after 7 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a shooting call at a home in the 200 block of North Charles in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, police found Mayes on the front porch of the home with a gunshot wound to his body.  EMS transported him to an area hospital where he died.

The investigation revealed a disturbance occurred at the home between Mayes and three other known individuals.  During the disturbance, Mayes was shot one time, causing his fatal injuries.

Police released no additional details Friday afternoon.
