
JEFFERSON COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man after the execution of search warrant.
Just after 1a.m. Tuesday, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence in the 2700 block of NE 35th Street, according to Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer. The Sheriff’s Office developed intel that there were multiple stolen vehicles at the residence.
Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Travis D. Walker, 39, of Topeka after locating three stolen motorcycles reported through the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, Topeka Police Department and Meriden Police Department.
Deputies also located a stolen 2006 Chevy Pickup at the residence along with a stolen John Deere tractor that was recovered at a separate location in the county. The John Deere tractor and Chevy Pickup were reported stolen out of Jefferson County.
Walker was booked into the Jefferson County Department of Corrections for Aggravated Burglary with several Shawnee County charges pending.
